Sura 84: The Rupture (Al-Inshiqaaq) ( سورة الإنشقاق )
بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ
In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
١:إِذَا السَّماءُ انشَقَّت
[84:1] The time will come when the sky is ruptured.
٢:وَأَذِنَت لِرَبِّها وَحُقَّت
[84:2] It will submit to its Lord and expire.
٣:وَإِذَا الأَرضُ مُدَّت
[84:3] The earth will be leveled.
٤:وَأَلقَت ما فيها وَتَخَلَّت
[84:4] It will eject its contents, as it erupts.
٥:وَأَذِنَت لِرَبِّها وَحُقَّت
[84:5] It will submit to its Lord and expire.
٦:يٰأَيُّهَا الإِنسٰنُ إِنَّكَ كادِحٌ إِلىٰ رَبِّكَ كَدحًا فَمُلٰقيهِ
[84:6] O humans, you are irreversibly heading for a meeting with your Lord.
٧:فَأَمّا مَن أوتِىَ كِتٰبَهُ بِيَمينِهِ
[84:7] As for the one who receives his record in his right hand,
٨:فَسَوفَ يُحاسَبُ حِسابًا يَسيرًا
[84:8] His reckoning will be easy.
٩:وَيَنقَلِبُ إِلىٰ أَهلِهِ مَسرورًا
[84:9] He will return to his people joyfully.
١٠:وَأَمّا مَن أوتِىَ كِتٰبَهُ وَراءَ ظَهرِهِ
[84:10] As for the one who receives his record behind his back,
١١:فَسَوفَ يَدعوا ثُبورًا
[84:11] He will be ridden with remorse.
١٢:وَيَصلىٰ سَعيرًا
[84:12] And will burn in Hell.
١٣:إِنَّهُ كانَ فى أَهلِهِ مَسرورًا
[84:13] He used to act arrogantly among his people.
١٤:إِنَّهُ ظَنَّ أَن لَن يَحورَ
[84:14] He thought that he will never be called to account.
١٥:بَلىٰ إِنَّ رَبَّهُ كانَ بِهِ بَصيرًا
[84:15] Yes indeed, his Lord was Seer of him.
١٦:فَلا أُقسِمُ بِالشَّفَقِ
[84:16] I solemnly swear by the rosy dusk.
١٧:وَالَّيلِ وَما وَسَقَ
[84:17] And the night as it spreads.
١٨:وَالقَمَرِ إِذَا اتَّسَقَ
[84:18] And the moon and its phases.
١٩:لَتَركَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَن طَبَقٍ
[84:19] You will move from stage to stage.
٢٠:فَما لَهُم لا يُؤمِنونَ
[84:20] Why do they not believe?
٢١:وَإِذا قُرِئَ عَلَيهِمُ القُرءانُ لا يَسجُدونَ
[84:21] And when the Quran is recited to them, they do not fall prostrate.
٢٢:بَلِ الَّذينَ كَفَروا يُكَذِّبونَ
[84:22] This is because those who disbelieved are rejecting (the Quran).
٢٣:وَاللَّهُ أَعلَمُ بِما يوعونَ
[84:23] GOD is fully aware of their innermost thoughts.
٢٤:فَبَشِّرهُم بِعَذابٍ أَليمٍ
[84:24] Promise them painful retribution.
٢٥:إِلَّا الَّذينَ ءامَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَهُم أَجرٌ غَيرُ مَمنونٍ
[84:25] As for those who believed and led a righteous life, they receive a recompense that is well deserved.
