Sura 101: The Shocker (Al-Qaare`ah)‎ ( سورة القارعة )‎

بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

١:القارِعَةُ

[101:1]  The Shocker.

٢:مَا القارِعَةُ

[101:2]  What a shocker!

٣:وَما أَدرىٰكَ مَا القارِعَةُ

[101:3]  Do you have any idea what the Shocker is?

٤:يَومَ يَكونُ النّاسُ كَالفَراشِ المَبثوثِ

[101:4]  That is the day when the people come out like swarms of butterflies.

٥:وَتَكونُ الجِبالُ كَالعِهنِ المَنفوشِ

[101:5]  The mountains will be like fluffy wool.

٦:فَأَمّا مَن ثَقُلَت مَوٰزينُهُ

[101:6]  As for him whose weights are heavy.

٧:فَهُوَ فى عيشَةٍ راضِيَةٍ

[101:7]  He will lead a happy (eternal) life.

٨:وَأَمّا مَن خَفَّت مَوٰزينُهُ

[101:8]  As for him whose weights are light.

٩:فَأُمُّهُ هاوِيَةٌ

[101:9]  His destiny is lowly.

١٠:وَما أَدرىٰكَ ما هِيَه

[101:10]  Do you know what it is?

١١:نارٌ حامِيَةٌ

[101:11]  The blazing Hellfire.
