Sura 75: Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) ( سورة القيامة )
بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ
In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
١:لا أُقسِمُ بِيَومِ القِيٰمَةِ
[75:1] I swear by the Day of Resurrection.
٢:وَلا أُقسِمُ بِالنَّفسِ اللَّوّامَةِ
[75:2] And I swear by the blaming soul.
٣:أَيَحسَبُ الإِنسٰنُ أَلَّن نَجمَعَ عِظامَهُ
[75:3] Does the human being think that we will not reconstruct his bones?
٤:بَلىٰ قٰدِرينَ عَلىٰ أَن نُسَوِّىَ بَنانَهُ
[75:4] Yes indeed; we are able to reconstruct his finger tip.
٥:بَل يُريدُ الإِنسٰنُ لِيَفجُرَ أَمامَهُ
[75:5] But the human being tends to believe only what he sees in front of him.
٦:يَسـَٔلُ أَيّانَ يَومُ القِيٰمَةِ
[75:6] He doubts the Day of Resurrection!
٧:فَإِذا بَرِقَ البَصَرُ
[75:7] Once the vision is sharpened.
٨:وَخَسَفَ القَمَرُ
[75:8] And the moon is eclipsed.
٩:وَجُمِعَ الشَّمسُ وَالقَمَرُ
[75:9] And the sun and the moon crash into one another.
١٠:يَقولُ الإِنسٰنُ يَومَئِذٍ أَينَ المَفَرُّ
[75:10] The human being will say on that day, “Where is the escape?”
١١:كَلّا لا وَزَرَ
[75:11] Absolutely, there is no escape.
١٢:إِلىٰ رَبِّكَ يَومَئِذٍ المُستَقَرُّ
[75:12] To your Lord, on that day, is the final destiny.
١٣:يُنَبَّؤُا۟ الإِنسٰنُ يَومَئِذٍ بِما قَدَّمَ وَأَخَّرَ
[75:13] The human being will be informed, on that day, of everything he did to advance himself, and everything he did to regress himself.
١٤:بَلِ الإِنسٰنُ عَلىٰ نَفسِهِ بَصيرَةٌ
[75:14] The human being will be his own judge.
١٥:وَلَو أَلقىٰ مَعاذيرَهُ
[75:15] No excuses will be accepted.
١٦:لا تُحَرِّك بِهِ لِسانَكَ لِتَعجَلَ بِهِ
Muhammad Forbidden From Explaining the Quran
[75:16] Do not move your tongue to hasten it.
١٧:إِنَّ عَلَينا جَمعَهُ وَقُرءانَهُ
[75:17] It is we who will collect it into Quran.
١٨:فَإِذا قَرَأنٰهُ فَاتَّبِع قُرءانَهُ
[75:18] Once we recite it, you shall follow such a Quran.
١٩:ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَينا بَيانَهُ
[75:19] Then it is we who will explain it.
٢٠:كَلّا بَل تُحِبّونَ العاجِلَةَ
[75:20] Indeed, you love this fleeting life.
٢١:وَتَذَرونَ الـٔاخِرَةَ
[75:21] While disregarding the Hereafter.
٢٢:وُجوهٌ يَومَئِذٍ ناضِرَةٌ
[75:22] Some faces, on that day, will be happy.
٢٣:إِلىٰ رَبِّها ناظِرَةٌ
[75:23] Looking at their Lord.
٢٤:وَوُجوهٌ يَومَئِذٍ باسِرَةٌ
[75:24] Other faces will be, on that day, miserable.
٢٥:تَظُنُّ أَن يُفعَلَ بِها فاقِرَةٌ
[75:25] Expecting the worst.
٢٦:كَلّا إِذا بَلَغَتِ التَّراقِىَ
[75:26] Indeed, when (the soul) reaches the throat.
٢٧:وَقيلَ مَن راقٍ
[75:27] And it is ordered: “Let go!”
٢٨:وَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ الفِراقُ
[75:28] He knows it is the end.
٢٩:وَالتَفَّتِ السّاقُ بِالسّاقِ
[75:29] Each leg will lay motionless next to the other leg.
٣٠:إِلىٰ رَبِّكَ يَومَئِذٍ المَساقُ
[75:30] To your Lord, on that day, is the summoning.
٣١:فَلا صَدَّقَ وَلا صَلّىٰ
[75:31] For he observed neither the charity, nor the contact prayers (Salat).
٣٢:وَلٰكِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلّىٰ
[75:32] But he disbelieved and turned away.
٣٣:ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلىٰ أَهلِهِ يَتَمَطّىٰ
[75:33] With his family, he acted arrogantly.
٣٤:أَولىٰ لَكَ فَأَولىٰ
[75:34] You have deserved this.
٣٥:ثُمَّ أَولىٰ لَكَ فَأَولىٰ
[75:35] Indeed, you have deserved this.
٣٦:أَيَحسَبُ الإِنسٰنُ أَن يُترَكَ سُدًى
[75:36] Does the human being think that he will go to nothing?
٣٧:أَلَم يَكُ نُطفَةً مِن مَنِىٍّ يُمنىٰ
[75:37] Was he not a drop of ejected semen?
٣٨:ثُمَّ كانَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقَ فَسَوّىٰ
[75:38] Then He created an embryo out of it!
٣٩:فَجَعَلَ مِنهُ الزَّوجَينِ الذَّكَرَ وَالأُنثىٰ
[75:39] He made it into male or female!
٤٠:أَلَيسَ ذٰلِكَ بِقٰدِرٍ عَلىٰ أَن يُحـِۧىَ المَوتىٰ
[75:40] Is He then unable to revive the dead?
