Sura 77: Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat) ( سورة المرسلاة )
بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ
In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
١:وَالمُرسَلٰتِ عُرفًا
[77:1] (Angels) dispatched in succession.
٢:فَالعٰصِفٰتِ عَصفًا
[77:2] To drive the wind.
٣:وَالنّٰشِرٰتِ نَشرًا
[77:3] Stir up clouds.
٤:فَالفٰرِقٰتِ فَرقًا
[77:4] Distribute the provisions.
٥:فَالمُلقِيٰتِ ذِكرًا
[77:5] Deliver messages.
٦:عُذرًا أَو نُذرًا
[77:6] Good news, as well as warnings.
٧:إِنَّما توعَدونَ لَوٰقِعٌ
[77:7] What is promised will come to pass.
٨:فَإِذَا النُّجومُ طُمِسَت
[77:8] Thus, when the stars are put out.
٩:وَإِذَا السَّماءُ فُرِجَت
[77:9] The sky is opened up.
١٠:وَإِذَا الجِبالُ نُسِفَت
[77:10] The mountains are blown up.
١١:وَإِذَا الرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَت
[77:11] The messengers are summoned.
١٢:لِأَىِّ يَومٍ أُجِّلَت
[77:12] That is the appointed day.
١٣:لِيَومِ الفَصلِ
[77:13] The Day of Decision.
١٤:وَما أَدرىٰكَ ما يَومُ الفَصلِ
[77:14] What a Day of Decision!
١٥:وَيلٌ يَومَئِذٍ لِلمُكَذِّبينَ
[77:15] Woe on that day to the rejectors.
١٦:أَلَم نُهلِكِ الأَوَّلينَ
[77:16] Did we not annihilate the earlier generations?
١٧:ثُمَّ نُتبِعُهُمُ الـٔاخِرينَ
[77:17] Then we made others follow them?
١٨:كَذٰلِكَ نَفعَلُ بِالمُجرِمينَ
[77:18] This is what we do to the criminals.
١٩:وَيلٌ يَومَئِذٍ لِلمُكَذِّبينَ
[77:19] Woe on that day to the rejectors.
٢٠:أَلَم نَخلُقكُم مِن ماءٍ مَهينٍ
[77:20] Did we not create you from a lowly liquid?*

٢١:فَجَعَلنٰهُ فى قَرارٍ مَكينٍ
[77:21] Then we placed it in a well-protected repository.
٢٢:إِلىٰ قَدَرٍ مَعلومٍ
[77:22] For a specific period.
٢٣:فَقَدَرنا فَنِعمَ القٰدِرونَ
[77:23] We measured it precisely.* We are the best designers.

٢٤:وَيلٌ يَومَئِذٍ لِلمُكَذِّبينَ
[77:24] Woe on that day to the rejectors.
٢٥:أَلَم نَجعَلِ الأَرضَ كِفاتًا
[77:25] Did we not make the earth an abode?
٢٦:أَحياءً وَأَموٰتًا
[77:26] For the living and the dead?
٢٧:وَجَعَلنا فيها رَوٰسِىَ شٰمِخٰتٍ وَأَسقَينٰكُم ماءً فُراتًا
[77:27] We placed on it high mountains, and provided you with fresh water to drink.
٢٨:وَيلٌ يَومَئِذٍ لِلمُكَذِّبينَ
[77:28] Woe on that day to the rejectors.
٢٩:انطَلِقوا إِلىٰ ما كُنتُم بِهِ تُكَذِّبونَ
[77:29] Go to what you used to disbelieve in.
٣٠:انطَلِقوا إِلىٰ ظِلٍّ ذى ثَلٰثِ شُعَبٍ
[77:30] Go to a shade of three different densities.
٣١:لا ظَليلٍ وَلا يُغنى مِنَ اللَّهَبِ
[77:31] Yet, it provides neither coolness, nor protection from the heat.
٣٢:إِنَّها تَرمى بِشَرَرٍ كَالقَصرِ
[77:32] It throws sparks as big as mansions.
٣٣:كَأَنَّهُ جِمٰلَتٌ صُفرٌ
[77:33] As yellow as the color of camels.
٣٤:وَيلٌ يَومَئِذٍ لِلمُكَذِّبينَ
[77:34] Woe on that day to the rejectors.
٣٥:هٰذا يَومُ لا يَنطِقونَ
[77:35] That is the day they do not speak.
٣٦:وَلا يُؤذَنُ لَهُم فَيَعتَذِرونَ
[77:36] Nor are they given permission to apologize.
٣٧:وَيلٌ يَومَئِذٍ لِلمُكَذِّبينَ
[77:37] Woe on that day to the rejectors.
٣٨:هٰذا يَومُ الفَصلِ جَمَعنٰكُم وَالأَوَّلينَ
[77:38] This is the Day of Decision. We have summoned you and the previous generations.
٣٩:فَإِن كانَ لَكُم كَيدٌ فَكيدونِ
[77:39] If you have any schemes, go ahead and scheme.
٤٠:وَيلٌ يَومَئِذٍ لِلمُكَذِّبينَ
[77:40] Woe on that day to the rejectors.
٤١:إِنَّ المُتَّقينَ فى ظِلٰلٍ وَعُيونٍ
[77:41] The righteous will enjoy shade and springs.
٤٢:وَفَوٰكِهَ مِمّا يَشتَهونَ
[77:42] And fruits that they desire.
٤٣:كُلوا وَاشرَبوا هَنيـًٔا بِما كُنتُم تَعمَلونَ
[77:43] Eat and drink happily in return for your works.
٤٤:إِنّا كَذٰلِكَ نَجزِى المُحسِنينَ
[77:44] We thus reward the virtuous.
٤٥:وَيلٌ يَومَئِذٍ لِلمُكَذِّبينَ
[77:45] Woe on that day to the rejectors.
٤٦:كُلوا وَتَمَتَّعوا قَليلًا إِنَّكُم مُجرِمونَ
[77:46] Eat and enjoy temporarily; you are guilty.
٤٧:وَيلٌ يَومَئِذٍ لِلمُكَذِّبينَ
[77:47] Woe on that day to the rejectors.
٤٨:وَإِذا قيلَ لَهُمُ اركَعوا لا يَركَعونَ
[77:48] When they are told, “Bow down,” they do not bow down.
٤٩:وَيلٌ يَومَئِذٍ لِلمُكَذِّبينَ
[77:49] Woe on that day to the rejectors.
٥٠:فَبِأَىِّ حَديثٍ بَعدَهُ يُؤمِنونَ
