Sura 97: Destiny (Al-Qadr)‎ ( سورة القدر )‎

بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

١:إِنّا أَنزَلنٰهُ فى لَيلَةِ القَدرِ

[97:1]  We revealed it in the Night of Destiny.*

٢:وَما أَدرىٰكَ ما لَيلَةُ القَدرِ

[97:2]  How awesome is the Night of Destiny!

٣:لَيلَةُ القَدرِ خَيرٌ مِن أَلفِ شَهرٍ

[97:3]  The Night of Destiny is better than a thousand months.

٤:تَنَزَّلُ المَلٰئِكَةُ وَالرّوحُ فيها بِإِذنِ رَبِّهِم مِن كُلِّ أَمرٍ

[97:4]  The angels and the Spirit descend therein, by their Lord’s leave, to carry out every command.

٥:سَلٰمٌ هِىَ حَتّىٰ مَطلَعِ الفَجرِ

[97:5]  Peaceful it is until the advent of the dawn.
